You spelled it right in the page name, but typoed “patrol” in the first line of the comic proper.
Also, “left” is generally “leave” in this tense.
This is actually the first page I’ve seen (came in from a Comic Rocket ad), so I’m almost loath to mention it, since these could both be because the characters are speaking an unfamiliar language or something.
As for the page itself – nice job on the horses. And I like the diagonal layout – though I think the last split panels would be better served as a single panel (basically the same first panel, but from the opposite perspective). No, wait. I’m wrong – that isn’t the problem.
Because I’m scrolling down a webpage (instead of seeing the page as a whole), I hit and read the the 4th panel’s bubble before the third.
So, what would really help is just moving that bubble to below the archer, instead of above him. That way, when scrolling down, the third panel bubble would appear first and be read before the 4th.
Just my two cents.
Anyway, now I’m curious what’s going on, so I guess I better go back and see…
Thank you very much for your feedback.
The “patrol” is just a simple typo, not a special language of the charachers. It is hard to catch them, because my eye get used to the faults, there could be more of them. Also thanks for the grammar correction.
With the panel thing: yes, the layout wasn’t the luckiest thing here. I think I will accept your proposal for the bubbles. Let’s see, how does it look like.
Well, I’m happy that you found this place. I hope you will enjoy it 🙂
Finally found time to go through your archives.
Interesting tales you have going here!
And I do like the revised bubble placement.
This page layout still strikes me as really cool – especially that middle panel with the dialogue happening in the background while the action happens foreground.
Anyway, I don’t generally talk much, but I might lurk around a bit…
